A extended journey circling Australia was terminated following the fatal incident of an elderly female passenger who was stranded by the cruise liner on a distant island.

The CEO of the cruise operator said that passengers and personnel on the Coral Adventurer were informed that the rest of the journey had been called off due to the "tragic passing and prior engine troubles".

Through an announcement, he added that guests would be given a full refund, and said the organization was working "to coordinate the homeward trips of the individuals via chartered flights".

Regulatory bodies also published an latest statement, and said they had "delivered a order to the Master" banning any new passengers from boarding the vessel.
